Whenever we hear from an accommodation owner that they don’t get many direct bookings via their website, it is often simply a case of not having worked on a few simple things. We have put together a series of articles that focus on the 5 main things that should be worked on to ensure that your website brings in direct bookings. Make it Obvious that it’s Better to Book Direct

On your website, does it make it really clear that it is beneficial for the potential guest to book there? You should make it as obvious as you can – but you can make it nice, like this website:

Would you like to see this example in real life? You can see the Call To Action on this website, (near the footer – it leaves their site visitors in no doubt that they can “Book Direct at the Best Prices”.

These Call-To-Actions (or CTAs) have been shown to improve conversion rates of lookers to bookers! Ideally you should have a Call To Action (CTA) in at least 3 places per page: at the top of your website, within the page content and again above the footer – see below image which illustrates this well:
